Renewal of the Site of the old Baptist Chapel
On 20th June 2015 the Long Preston Heritage Group and the Long Preston Parish Council held the opening ceremony for the renewed Baptist Chapel site. Together with members of the LPHG and the Parish council the event was attended by a host of people with connections to, or memories of, the old Chapel.
Despite the very poor weather, over a hundred turned up to see "Angie's seat" opened with a tape-
The inscribed bench was mounted the next day and the site is again open to the public, who can read the history on the new interpretation board.
